Shallow Well Jet Pumps
Shallow-well jet pumps are a great way to get water from wells up to 25 feet deep without relying on a municipal water supply. They sit above ground, which makes them easier to maintain and repair compared to submersible pumps that are installed inside the well and have to be pulled out for inspection. These pumps are usually connected to an ejector, a tank, and a control panel to automatically deliver water when needed.
Jet pumps are commonly used in homes and businesses. You’ll often find them handling jobs like filling swimming pools, running irrigation systems, circulating water, transferring fluids, and working with sprinklers and water treatment setups.
In a typical centrifugal pump setup, the electric motor powers the whole system by turning electrical energy into mechanical energy. That energy spins the impeller—a fan-like part inside the pump—which moves the water through the system. Since the motor, impeller, and pump are all separate pieces, it’s a good idea to check each one if something goes wrong. You might be able to fix or replace just one part instead of swapping out the entire pump.
