Marathon JP Pump Motors are used for close coupled pumps , the pump impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft, having NEMA JP dimensions for mounting and the shaft of the motor. These JP punp motors are made for continuous duty service of the pump motor. This motor is built with a cast iron body and have re-greasable bearings. Marathon pump motors are made of quality materials for durability and cost efficiency. These pump motors are a Totally enclosed (TEFC) motor that can be used more dirty or wet environments (to a point) – excessive water exposure may require a more sealed, washdown unit.
