Marathon Electric GT2462 water handling pump motor is designed to last. Built for close-coupled applications where the pump impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft. Enjoy quiet operation with a precision balanced rotor, which also extendeds the motor life due to minimumal vibration. This Marathon is a packing seal unit , so leakage may occur. This 20hp electrical pump motor also features a c-face and JP extended shaft dimensions; but no drip cover (you can purchase one seperately).
ODP stands for open drip proof, meaning that there are slots in the motor frame for additional air flow and cooling. It also means that this motor is intended for relatively clean and dry areas to avoid premature failure.
