LM32411 Leeson 444-445T / 447/449T Shaft Grounding Ring

Leeson SGR shaft grounding is recommended as an effective means of bearing protection for motors operated from inverter power.  One grounding device is adequate to bleed down inverter-sourced shaft voltages, which protects both bearings for motors.  Note: This shaft grounding ring kit is for 444-445T Frame motors and are designed to mount on the shaft end.  Grounding the shaft by installing a grounding device provides an alternate low-impedance path from the motor shaft to the motor case. This channels the current away from the bearings. It significantly reduces shaft voltage, and therefore bearing current, by not allowing voltage to build up on the rotor. Included in this kit grounding ring, mounting hardware and instructions.  Please Note the following:

• For use with Lincoln rolled steel and cast iron frame US built motors
• For use with Leeson Inverter Duty, 800000 Series cast iron motors
• For use with Leeson IEEE-841 duty motors
• This kit will not meet DIV 2 certification with SGRs
