Single phase Leeson electric motors can be used for compressors, pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other commercial and industrial jobs. These Leeson motors have an ODP enclosure, which stands for Open Drip Proof and means that there are slots in the bottom of the motor body. These openings allow air to enter the motor so that it doesn’t overheat, but the motor is not completely guarded from water and materials getting in. ODP motors are can stand some water dripping on them, but use them in relatively clean, indoor locations, and not exposed outside!
