Leeson single phase electric motors are made with a rolled steel body and exceed NEMA design B performance.  Use for a wide range of jobs that aren’t exposed to water and dust, including compressors, pumps, and blowers. These single phase Leeson motors have an ODP enclosure, which stands for Open Drip Proof and means that there are slots in the bottom of the motor body. These openings allow air to enter the motor so that it doesn’t overheat, but the motor is not completely guarded from water and materials getting in. ODP motors are can stand some water dripping on them, but use them in relatively clean, indoor locations, and not exposed outside!
